I always drink coffee in the morning but since the days have gotten hotter this summer it’s become a bit unappealing to be sipping on something hot. Usually when I go to Starbucks I get an iced coffee since it’s under $2 and prep it myself with cream and Sweet N Low. It’s good, low calorie, and has enough caffeine to give me a buzz. I’ve decided to brew my own iced coffee since it’s so easy and a lot cheaper.
Speaking of being a cheap ass, I saved one of the Starbucks cups and use it to take it to work I brew the coffee at night, 1 spoon full per cup, 4 cups total. This will make it stronger than regular hot coffee but is necessary since it tastes better strong when it’s cold and you add more cream and ice cubes to it which dilutes it anyway. Once it’s brewed I then let it cool down, put it in the cup and into the fridge it goes. In the morning I add ice cubes, Coffee Mate and 3 packets of Sweet N Low and I head to work. I have that for breakfast along with an Atkins bar and it fills me up for hours. The Atkins bars have a gang of protein and coffee suppresses appetite so it’s smooth sailing until lunch time, not to mention the cool caffeine buzz you get from it.
I decided to go all out and buy the Starbucks french roast ground coffee to use and it tastes exactly like an iced coffee I would have bought at Starbucks.
So with this now I have a sugar free start to my morning. A 20oz. cup I drink would easily take 5-6 teaspoons of sugar to sweeten, fucking up my diet in the process. It’s all about the artificial sweetener, on the road to weightloss and cheating the system in the process.
