Gears of War 3: Copped!

I can’t believe that this game is finally out. Getting it on the first day was a given and Amazon is the most convenient place to get it. Sure enough, like with every major videogame release Amazon went all out and offered an awesome preorder deal. If you preordered the game you get release day delivery for only $.99 and a code to for a “Savage Kantus” multiplayer skin. I’m not sure what’s so savage about the Kantus, I thought the regular Kantus were savs come stock. The best part of the deal is that you get a $20 videogame credit for a future Amazon purchase. FUCK YEAH. So here I am, release day with Gears of War 3 installing on my Xbox 360 as I type this.

What’s sick is that you can go to work like any other day and come home to the game already waiting for you because it delivered by mail. I resisted temptation and hit the gym anyway, then went to Wal Mart to restock on protein powder and the usual supplements. Now it’s almost midnight and I’m ready to play, drink in hand. I’ve thought about what I should do with the $20 credit, for now I don’t plan on buying any other game for a while because I want to focus on this one. I already have Black Ops, Dead Space 2, Fallout 3, Bulletstorm and some other games in my shame pile of games I haven’t beaten. I figured I’ll wait till late October and use the credit to buy Rocksmith. From what I see that shit’s gonna be $79 because it comes with a usb cord to plug in a guitar to your system so taking $20 off that bitch would be sweet.

Anyway, I’m about to play this shit. I took a quick look online and there was a Sessler’s Soap Box headline on G4 saying that this game is the best in the series. I haven’t played a game consistently for a couple of months now, I hope that Gears 3 is the game that brings me back in. I’m officially stoked.
